This thin plant caught my eye and so I took a picture of it.
Then I looked closer and took another picture of the bizarre little toys in the pot. I'm trying to figure out if the owner purposely put them there or if some random person just dropped them there.
The more I look at it, the more I start to like it.
Bonsai garden gnomes. Cool. Sally is a great touch. Where can Jack be? The resident kid keeps him indoors, or in a different season or dimension?
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot. Interesting mix of friends that frog has.
(I’m pretty sure the plant is nandina domestic in its winter red-barren phase. If there were a Fokker Dr.1 Triplane toy in the flower pot we could call the plant Red Baron).
Kaori, you always find such fun quirky objects to photograph! The female doll looks a bit shocked to be next to the ... what IS that blue thing?
ReplyDeleteCool lines with a pop of red! - And oh, yes! There is definitely a story there. The evil frog overlord kidnapped the princess of the underworld and the blue Pocky has come to her rescue. There's a whole cartoon series about it or maybe it's Greek mythology. I can't keep it all straight.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Tim Burton young lady in "Nightmare Before Christmas".
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo opportunity Kaori. I like it too!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a maple. Very nice anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe plant is lovely. I guess that is one place to put unwanted toys... Why not?? :)
ReplyDeletetee hee! suddenly reminds me of Tim Burton but can't remember the flick.
ReplyDeletehow are you Kaori chan. ^0^
nice find you got there.
Very Zen...
ReplyDeleteI like how you see things, Kaori.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely plant with a surprise...
