Dear Friends,
Happy New Year!!! Can you believe we have a brand new year ahead of us starting today? So many possibilities and so many dreams.
2012 is the year of the Dragon. Many in Japan are praying for a stronger brighter year. I found this cardboard dragon decorating the Muji shop in Shinjuku. Doesn't it look fierce?
Hoping this year will bring everyone much happiness and togetherness...and many more wonderful blog posts from all of you blogger friends!
With love,
Kaori
Look ahead; the dragon lives!
ReplyDeleteThe Year of the Dragon sounds very dynamic Kaori, lets hope so in a positive way. How strange to think we are today on the brink of a new year.. I hope it's a brilliant one for you.
ReplyDeleteNeat dragon! And I hope it lives up to it's characteristics of a stronger, brighter year for all. Happy new year to you Kaori!

Hope you are fine, after reading about the 7.0R.
ReplyDeleteWearing a dragon for the last twenty years, it was great to learn that it is 'his' year. Please have a good new year ahead.

Although the new year started with an earthquake, I wish 2012 and the dragon year to be better for japan than 2011 was.

ReplyDeleteNice shots, thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of paper tigers but this is a first to see a cardboard dragon. As you say, it does look FIERCE, but in a warm, protective way. May a dragon of the spirit world remain by your side throughout the coming year holding all ills at bay. Good on it if, once in a while, it could take you for a spin as well.
ReplyDeleteJapan and its people certainly deserve a year with some good tidings.
ReplyDeleteSending you wishes for much love, joy and success in 2012. :D
It does look a bit fierce... you captured it well!
ReplyDeleteIt does look fierce! Rawr!
ReplyDeleteP.s. The colours of your second photo are really beautiful! The purple kimono and orange-gold trees make a pretty contrast. ^^
Since I was born in the year of the dragon, I am very excited for a good year. Thank you so much for you posts. Happy New Year!
