Some Like It Hot

Okay. I may have spoken too soon.

Today was one of the most humid days we've had in a while...and I am beat. It's very much still summer.

Well actually the humidity is probably due to the big typhoon headed our way. They say it's suppose to hit Japan tomorrow, unless it veers off somewhere. But whatever the reason, it is still mighty humid here.

  1. Perfect illustration. Hope the big typhoon takes a turn before it gets to you.

  2. Nice photo, makes me think of the lovely plum rain. However, humidity can be unbearable. :) ... autumn is just around the corner.

  3. It was 92 degrees hot and humid here in EAGAN today, too! My wife took our kids to Eagan's outdoor swimming pool along with the other 10,987,500,025 people there!

  5. It's the same here Kaori, if it's 40C and dry, it's so much more bearable than say 30C and humid! Hope the typhoon has a change in direction, I can't even imagine what a typhoon must be like to experience.

  6. I'd be lying in bed with the A/C on. I don't do well in hot and humid... Hope the typhoon doesn't hit too bad.

  7. Yep, it is the same for us. We had a few cool mornings that made me think of fall and the changing of the seasons and then BAM, right back to stuffy, sticky air. - I thought of you when I posted that photo of the atomic bomb and I wondered how you would feel about seeing it. We in the South still feel varying degrees of pain over the Civil War that ended in 1865, if you can believe it! I read a book that had survivor's firsthand accounts of the aftermath of the atomic bombs and I just cried and cried. The history books in school give it a paragraph, if it is mentioned at all, but those bombings, along with the Holocaust, should never be forgotten. They give us a reason to strive for peace and to view life as precious.

  8. That typhoon that was headed you way came from us... and it's been darn humid here too. Don't like getting into bed when the sheets are wet. But my skin is liking it.
