Here is the bowl of udon from
yesterdays post.
It's just a very simple bowl of udon for people to eat before heading home after a night out. According to my co-worker, this helps people from having a hang-over. Not sure how true that is.
But then, by this time of night, I'm willing to believe anything.
Looks D-lish! Time for breaking fast.
ReplyDeleteIt goods pretty good to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it does!!! Looks tasty, too!!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha. I've heard the same thing. It's very popular, after hours, in Little Tokyo here in LA.
ReplyDeleteYou mean that you have to be drunk to eat that? It doesn't look too bad...
ReplyDeleteMakes my eyes wander. Where’s this?
ReplyDeleteGiven a choice I would always opt for soba. Udon, being made of wheat, like Western bread and pasta, always tasted too “plain” to me. Like it had no flavor. Boring. But, To each his or her own, of course. Perhaps to some, soba tastes too “rough” and inelegant...
It’s easier to prevent a hangover by not mixing drinks and not drinking too much. As a remedy I swore by this (it worked well, if not best, taking before drinking), and advise drinking lots and lots of water. Not to mention a lot more water with a chaser of water.
That’s great that they have the earthquake relief fund solicitation bottle in the bottom. Did you drop any coins (or bills) in there for all of us? (I’ll pay you back when I’m sober. Ha ha.)
It looks tasty to me.
ReplyDeleteA joy for the senses. Thank you. Please have a good Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! I'd love to try it one day.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
There is probably something to that. It's good to drink plenty of water/fluids before you go to bed after drinking. Soup sounds like a good option. And this one looks really tasty. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the comments! I forgot to mention that a warm bowl of udon is also a great to warm yourself up in the middle of the night!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I'm thinking it must be true then ;D
VP, haha! No need to be but pretty sure most are :-D
Tall Gary, all the vendors had the donation bottles and yes we all contributed :D
Halcyon, you're right. I've heard about the water/fluid method, too! That could be it ;D
Hmm. All the vendors had the donation bottles. All the vendors who are crazy about the opportunity to pay a certain group of people protection money. What do you think of the possibility that that group of people is putting out these bottles and collecting the contributions? Of course absolutely all of the funds collected will go to to relief efforts. Well, all except a small administration fee (of no more than 99%).
ReplyDeleteHey, business is slow. There are mouths to feed.
I'd love that for breakfast. :)
ReplyDeletethe udon looks delish alright, i can almost feel my stomach crumbling. ^0^
