There were many of us enjoying the cherry blossoms along Kanda river. This bridge, Yutaka-hashi (豊橋), was a great spot to see all of the branches leaning over the river from both sides.

ReplyDeleteOh, I see that this bridge is near a terminus of one of two streetcar lines remaining in Tokyo. Those are fun.
ReplyDeleteEven after the cherry blossoms were a bit past their prime along “my” section of Kanda River, way upstream from here, I loved the way the petals in places fell thickly upon the water like drifts of snow.
I saw a Rotary International scholar from Osaka, Japan this weekend at our district Rotary conference. She demonstrated the Tea Ceremony and gave a speech wearing her beautiful kimono. Many of use bought white or red "Japan Relief" fundraising bracelets from her!
