Fall Gradation
I just got home (11:30pm) from the office, and although I know that's not late for some people...I like to get off of work on time everyday so it feels REALLY late to me. It feels like my jaw is going to fall off from so many yawns. So I'm going to bed now and will go visit all of you tomorrow!
But before I go, I just wanted to show you our fall colors that we're seeing a bit more of around Shinjuku. The bright colors mixed with the dark greens are lovely...and I keep on finding really great leaves to collect.
Can you guess what kind of tree these pretty leaves are from? (Hint: Japan is famous for its flowers!)

Are they leaves from cherry trees? - I love that first photo with the green and the gold. It reminds me of a poem by Robert Frost....nature's first gold is green.
ReplyDeletehaha, i give up! i'm really not good at this one. ^0^
ReplyDeletesweet dreams dear Kaori.

Great shots. That was a long day at work!
ReplyDeleteI love the autumn leaves and their colors! I'm guessing leaves from a cherry tree, too!
ReplyDeleteGenki de ne!
Cherry leaves is what immediately came to my mind with that clue, too. And the fall colors are warm and appealing.
ReplyDeleteCherry tree , easy with the hint ;) i like very much the last pic !
ReplyDeleteCherry tree is also what came to mind from your hint. They're beautiful, and it's nice to see some fall color as ours is finished.
ReplyDeleteThe top photo would make another one of those great Kaori note cards. The mixed reds and greens are super attractive.
ReplyDeleteSo, those particular trees offer a color-fest both in spring and autumn (leaves).
A lovely photo and post- i imagine they are the cherry tree too- your blog is riveting reading, than you so much!

ReplyDeleteYour work hours match what Mme la Vache has told «Louis» about the hours people keep in Tokyo. (You may recall that she lived in Japan for 15 years.)

ReplyDeleteWind-freed autumn leaves
ReplyDeleteSnuggle into ivy’s edge,
Held by jade fingers.
Gray skies and chill winds, and yet—
These Kaori colors thrill.
