A Full Plate

This was my lunch the other day. And yes, that's including the fried noodles, which we call Yakisoba, in the top right corner. Needless to say I couldn't finish it all and ended up getting both of the Onigiri, also known as rice balls, as a take-out.

Very full and very happy stomach!

  6. At first I thought you were off in Kyoto 京都 for some teppanyaki. Then I noticed that the Kikaku Building is in West Shinjuku, of course.

Did you pop those tasty-looking onigiri in the broiler for some yaki-onigiri when you got home? Anyway, it is nice to have less to cook for dinner, don’t you think?

Kibi-dango, of course, but I sometimes wonder if Momo-taro liked onigiri. It sure looks like it sometimes.

Oh, wait. Maybe I am thinking of 鬼切り。

  9. Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the comments!

PerthDP -- haha! I'll have to give this lunch set another go soon ;D

Birdman -- There's the miso soup in the bottom right, the salad above it, some meat dish with thick sauce (which I also couldn't eat), and the pickled veggies in the top left! We call the pickles "tsuke-mono" :D

Arabesque -- So glad you were okay! Can't wait to hear your big announcement :D
