One Step at a Time

Just a regular set of stairs leading down from a building to the sidewalk. But sometimes the most simple things catch my eye and I ended up taking a lot of pictures here. This angle was my favorite.

Well, I am off to attend a wedding for my best friend from high school this weekend so I won't be able to post until next week. But I'm hoping I can stop by and comment on all your posts and squeeze in a Skywatch photo on Friday from the hotel...we'll see how that goes. I'm super excited to see my friend get married but as I've been asked to do a speech at the reception, a first time for me, I'm REALLY nervous about that. Wish me luck!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. I love this shot! Simple things sometimes warrant a closer look because they may be more intense than we give them credit for every day. Blessings on your friend's marriage, good luck on your speech, and safe travels!

  2. Totally cool! I love how all of the lines converge in the upper left-hand corner of the photo. SO NEAT! - Have an awesome time at your friend's wedding! I know that you will do an awesome job with the speech since you are so observant and articulate. And don't worry about speaking in front of those people. They will be cheering you on!

  5. I can only repeat what others have said... the photo is brilliant, and so will your speech be. Just enjoy it! [And thanks for asking; I am well, glad to be back home. xo]

  6. This image is almost patriotic. Those radiating, expanding lines made me think of this.

Instead of speaking to the whole group when talking into the microphone, feel as though you are talking to a small group of intimate friends (or even just one special friend out there). In the States we like to start off with something funny. If people laugh it puts both the speaker and audience at ease. They would probably love to hear funny, cute, or heartwarming anecdotes. They’re fun to talk about too. So, yeah, keep it fun for yourself, the audience’s enjoyment will follow along. (Who am I to talk?)

  9. wonderful ! somewhere I read, that a step demans each single one to be taken, so please enjoy each and every one, just like the days of life.
