The air is full of fall these days.
You can even see it in the sunlight and I am loving every minute of it. Spring actually used to be my favorite season until I became allergic to cedar pollen and that just ruined the whole season for me. I still like spring but fall became my favorite season, even though we usually only have about a week to enjoy it.
But this year it's been unusually chilly from the end of September and we've been enjoying a long fall season. I'm hoping mother nature spoils us by keeping this gorgeous weather around for a little while longer!

I like the vertical and diagonal lines in this photo! The soft light does capture that essence of fall. We, too, have had some chilly temps. I think it got down to 33F last night! But today is GORGEOUS! Sunshine and crisp, just as fall should be! - Have an awesome weekend enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI like this shot and how you specifically set up a shallow depth of field. I'm always amazed at your tall buildings, I have to travel a long way to see something like that!
ReplyDeleteFall here can be extremely variable, sometimes we get lovely warm days, and other times we may stay below freezing for a whole day when a snowstorm moves through.
A beautiful focus here. Something I would never have dreamt of even trying!
ReplyDeleteIf I imagine the cry of a seagull even that concrete looks soft.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture ! All of a sudden, the stone does not feel hard anymore.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Sunday.

I love the texture! Is the Keio Plaza Hotel just behind you in this photo? If yes, how come I've never noticed the grain of this wall before?! I've walked past this spot so often.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too Kaori, beautiful soft reflections here.
ReplyDeleteIt's hayfever season downunder unfortunately, and I am suffering! I am looking forward to fall!
ReplyDeleteI really like this shot. Sort of abstract with the focus on the wall (?)... and the sky is beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteRachel -- Thank you! It DOES sound like you had a chilly night there! Hope you had a lovely fall weekend :D
ReplyDeleteAl -- I can tell from your photos that fall is very different there! :D
Ciel -- One of my random shots that turned out better than I expected ;-D
Tall Gary -- It kind of does have a beach feel to it, doesn't it? :)
Robert -- Thank you so much! Hope you're doing well also :D
Rurousha -- Really? Yes, the hotel is behind me, across the street from the building in the picture! It's the stone wall of the stairs leading down to the street ;D
Perth DP -- Thank you! I hope you're enjoying your spring there :-D
Evelyn -- They have hayfever in Australia, too? Ugh, I hope the pollen calms down and you feel better soon!!! ;D
Halcyon -- Thank you! Yes, the rocky concrete is a kind of wall and part of a staircase leading down to the lower street :D
ReplyDeleteNice picture, I like 'full of fall'...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love the composition and the focus!
ReplyDeleteA fine Weekend Reflections post, Kaori.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I need glasses but I thought the rocky concrete looked a little like a close up of wave foam on the beach.
ReplyDeleteFall is my favourite season hands down! And we've been having the same weather situation here. I love it!
