I remember when my friends and I were in grade school and carving "I heart so-and-so (changed quite often)" on tree trunks. I can't even remember how we carved things on the trees but when I went back to where I used to live a couple of years ago...my sister and I took a walk through the woods and imagine my surprise at seeing the carvings still there!
I wonder if whoever wrote on the bridge will have the same nostalgic feelings when they pass over this bridge someday.

Somehow I think bridge defacing might last less long than that done on trees.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, did you do the ♡ thing or the ☂ thing? This versus aiaikasa? Like here.
A bridge, a tree, a shoulder. You can walk away from the first two.
ReplyDelete:) Sweet
ReplyDeleteA unique post for Sunday Bridges! «Louis» likes thoughtful contributions like this!
ReplyDeleteHi Kaori , great bridge post, love is grand isn't it. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog.
ReplyDeleteromantic graffitti
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet, very clever.
ReplyDelete:-))
ReplyDeletelike the color of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteSweet graffiti!
Lovely color, for once I'll forgive the graffiti writer...
ReplyDeleteI would think that the bridge would be repainted one day so the graffiti would vanish. But it's cute!
ReplyDeleteLovely colour on this bridge.
ReplyDeleteTall Gary has done some good research!
Awwww..young love!!!
ReplyDelete(I'm still giggling about Hiker's comment!!!)
My stepson didn't like tattoos when I first married TheChief...then one day he had his wedding ring tattooed on his hand because he's a plumber and works with his hands...then he tattooed his legs...with his daughter's and wife's likenesses in "Day of the Dead" skeleton style on motorcycles or something crazy like that...we're talking on his whole leg...now they're getting a divorce....(and not because of the tattoo's!!!)
Well, I'm not going to be as gracious as VP. I just don't like graffiti on principle, and not least because carvings on trees and such remain, for a looong time. Imagine, last week I was in a 15C church and I saw graffiti carvings with dates as old as 1750! In a church! But I like your post and the bridge!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure whoever wrote that will indeed feel nostalgic (and maybe a little embarrassed too). Isn't it interesting that graffiti is just about everywhere?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, a bridge is a perfect place for something alike.
ReplyDeleteHave to admit, that I never did something like this (so far), but am finding such many. Please have a good new week.

This will be easy to paint over, unlike your carving on the tree trunk. Used to do the same, but on our school chairs! :D
ReplyDeleteI like these words on the bridge. There's sometimes a hateful text written on buildings and bridges, then we can easily say that this is more cheerful.
ReplyDeleteYou don’t suppose... Nah, couldn’t be.
ReplyDeleteoh, the good ol' days kaori. ^0^
ReplyDeletelovely shot of the bridge.
