Down by the River

I found these small flowers were growing along Kanda River, near Yodo Bridge.

This river, which actually divides Shinjuku ward from Nakano ward all along this area, has a lovely path on both sides of the river that many people use for jogging or just walking. And with plants like this, I'm sure they're all enjoying the view, too.

  11. Who knew? So this spot you photographed is precisely where this came from; considering the origins of Shinjuku mentioned here at the very bottom. I would take your version any day. Now how can we alter the lyrics of that theme song to make it more appropriate for a Yodo Bridge Kaori camera?

Anyway, please let us know when a collection of your gorgeous flower photos becomes commercially available to us for purchase.

  14. I am surprised that not far from this real-deal Yodo-bashi there is a not terribly huge Fujizuka at a shrine, Narukoten Jinja, off of Ome Kaido.

I found it at this great site.

  15. Pastel yellow is lovely. I suppose, the scenery will be completely different without flowers. I wonder who planted these pretty flowers.
    Kaori, have a nice day.

  17. Hi everyone! Thank you for all the comments! The flowers were really lovely and I couldn't resist! I'm glad you liked it :-D

Arabesque, Snowwhite, I think these flowers were planted by the city, as the river is under their care! :-)

Francisca, that would be lovely! Meet you at the bridge? :-D

Karin, ooh! Now that you mention it! ;D
