It seems ever since moving to Tokyo, where snow is not a regular occurrence, I find I have this need to make snowmen/women, no matter how small, every time I see snow.
Is this just me? I never had this need growing up in Michigan, a midwest state in the US, where we were bombarded by piles of snow each year. Nor did I have this problem when I lived in Sapporo, which is in the most northern prefecture of Japan, where snow is piled so high that it's still around in May. So it must be one of those symptoms you get when you are deprived of something.
Well, it's actually getting warmer lately, although it's hard to tell with all the wind. But I don't think I'll be making anymore snowmen/women in Shinjuku. I'm ready for spring!
Hope you're all having a wonderful Friday!
Enjoy looking at more beautiful skies all around the world here.
Nice little snowman ,i'm ready for spring too , bur winter seems to settle down with low temperatures , here - 8,- 16 :)
ReplyDeleteNice little snowman, I wonder how long he will survive...
ReplyDeleteCute snowman!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have winter.
Happy SWF. Enjoy your weekend.
That is the cutest snowman I've ever seen, and the photo was taken at a very interesting angle. Were you lying flat on your tummy? ^^
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! LOL at the thought of being deprived of snow. I seriously can't stand the stuff after I had to endure a couple of South Dakota winters, BUT I do enjoy a snow day in the South since that is about as long as the snow will last down here. - I'm so glad that you made full use of the little bit of snow that you had to make these cute, little people. It seems that the less we have of something, the more we appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a mild winter in Ohio. I miss the snow though if it were here I would probably complain and wish for spring! :)
ReplyDeleteI could build a snowman today, we're under a blizzard warning all day. And we're not in the snowiest part of the year yet. I love your little snowman!
ReplyDeletei do envy your snowman, you know that right?! ^0^
ReplyDeletei;m glad you're enjoying the weather, while we're sulking in the sun. happy weekend dear!
The big snow doll is on diet program... He's getting thinner. :D
ReplyDeleteYour snow person is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm also ready for spring. Just another month or so I guess. :)
It has been YEARS since I made a snowman! The temperature dropped to minus 9° C last night and our first snow this winter is forecasted for tonight... I'm not holding my breath though because I'm so tired I intend to lie in tomorrow morning (TGIF!) and might just miss the few snowflakes that will hopefully grace us with their presence!
ReplyDeleteI can so see this, we get hardly ever get snow here, but when we do we make our snowmen with rocks, grass, and sticks all sticking out of it! It must be something people have to do to have that experience since they don't get it all that much.

ReplyDeleteIt's been a pathetic winter here... snow cover is way down. What's up w/ that? Not many snowmen.
