Collage of Colors

Sometimes I come across the most interesting buildings. Like this one, decorated with colorful tiles.

The whole building kind of looks like someone's art project, doesn't it?

  2. Yes, it certainly does.

At first I thought of my local library. Then I thought of Gaudi. Such as here.

  6. Surprised!! The second building looks like art school or something. Or the owner is an artist? People look at this building once , they will never forget it. Anyway this is a good landmark. Thank you for sharing very interesting photos. Kaori, have a nice day.

  11. The building is just amazing! The combination of tiles is very cool, it seems to be something in between the portuguese tile work and Gaudi's work. :-)

  17. Hi everyone! Thanks so much for leaving a comment! Sorry I haven't been able to comment back often. I think I agree with you all...a mix between Islamic and Spain/Protugues! I may have to go by and ask how this building came about sometime!

Snowwhite, Evelyn, Masae -- I'm not sure about the first floor but it seems that the floors above are all apartment units! Isn't that wild? :D

Chrissy -- that's what I thought, too! It's definitely not something we see everyday in Japan, very rare ;D

Laurie -- thanks so much! :D

  18. Yeah, that it not the kind of building that I would expect to see in Japan. But I love it! It is so eclectic and fun.
