Gone Wild

This is a vacant plot of land that was fenced off.

Various types of weeds and grass were growing freely. Someone sure has their work cut out for them. But it was kind of nice to see this patch of green in between houses.

  1. i love the effect in this foto kaori, as if the place is almost deserted. ^-^

  2. It would be interesting to watch what will happen there, like some kind of wilderness in town!

  3. Vacant lots don’t often stay vacant for long in Tokyo. I hope this one that you photographed is an exception, or perhaps even a seed: Just one step closer to this and this.

  4. I imagine there aren't many vacant places like this in big cities. I like your focus!

It also seems that we are fenced away from that peaceful, relaxing wild green.

  8. When I was visiting southern California a few years ago some friends and I were standing in line for a ride at Disneyland when I saw a patch of grass in a well-landscaped corner. "GRASS!!!" I exclaimed excitedly. Then it dawned on me that this two-foot-square postage-stamp sized piece of green was the first I'd seen in the entire week I'd been there. Big cities often don't have a lot of green, and that is one of many reasons I prefer my little country towns.
