I could see a reflection of the buildings across the river in the windows.
This building belongs to Sony Music Entertainment, which is a really huge entertainment company here in Japan. This dark building and the outer wall is pretty impressive looking.

What an absolutely fabulous shot of those windows.
ReplyDeleteI like windows and you found some very nice ones!
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections! The top photo is way cool... there's an optical illusion going on there! Fun! Enjoy the rest of the long weekend, Kaori!
ReplyDeleteLove the uniformity of the windows Kaori and excellent reflections.

Thank you for all the comments! :D
ReplyDeleteKaori... is there really anyone in the world who has not heard of Sony? LOL!? I like the composition of this reflection shot... nice!
ReplyDelete[How curious that your dad liked Chinese movies. I'd had a very broad impression that there isn't a lot of love between the Japanese and Chinese. Would be glad to hear I'm dead wrong on that.]
Francisca -- Oh, I guess Sony is kinda known worldwide! haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure a lot of people have the same impression that you do. And I guess there is a bit of static between our governments, but on a personal level, it's really hard to dislike someone for reasons we are unable to control, like which country we were born in. My friend used to say "I can't stand China but I like the Chinese people." It sounds like an oxymoron but it's not for us. And entertainment is always a genre that all asian countries are able to embrace with each other. And you can say that Japan has fully embraced both Chinese and Korean entertainment! My parents have now moved on to Korean TV Drama :D
Oh, what an impressive building it is! The lovely reflection is framed like beautiful pictures in an art museum. Perhaps, this area resembles Nakanoshima in Osaka. The windows of the buildings in the reflection reflect the Sony Music building, I guess.
ReplyDeleteKaori, have a great day!
Kaori, we think alike. As I said, it was broad strokes only. I was referring to events that happened in the 40s and 50s and possible lingering animosities about that. I personally have never taken issues I have with a government position against any individual. And yeah, those Korean dramas have caught on fire all over Asia (but I have only watched a few minutes of one at a friend's home in HK; she was addicted!) :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot Kaori! Sony is one of my favorite brands.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections and I love the way they are framed by the building!
ReplyDeletei like its perspective kaori. ^0^
