A lovely sunset over the city.
Is it just me or does that high-rise building on the left look like it's going to fall over any minute? Don't know about you but I'm ready to relax again. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy looking at more beautiful skies all around the world here.
What a contrast with your last pictures, all colors and movement!
ReplyDeleteI like this one even more, the fading pastel colors are so delicate and peaceful...
It does appear to be leaning! That sky is just gorgeous Kaori.
ReplyDeleteLeaning Tower of Shinjuku...? Such very pleasant hues of pastel in this sunset. I hope you were sitting on a balcony with a glass of wine (or whatever is your choice of liquid) enjoying this sky and de-stressing from your work week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely lilac.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! It's a calming shot, makes me feel more relaxed. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sky! It's still cloudy here so you can imagine how much I'm enjoying this photo!
ReplyDeleteIf you look closely at the top of that building you can see a famous astronomer doing an experiment.
ReplyDeleteYou've got the right idea, Kaori! I love the framing of the heavens here... : - )
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Lilac is my favorite color.
ReplyDelete(You will have to explain the leaning building, however.)
very relaxing colours !
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Kaori. It's a nice photo, yes, even if the building looks like it's going to topple :)
ReplyDeletePeacefulness - may you have a weekend alike.

Love the purple hues. It's not just you, it is leaning or it's a trick of the eye.
ReplyDeletebeautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteMy Skywatch is up -- Snowbirds!
That building isn't falling over, it's trying to get as close to that fabulous sunset as it can!
ReplyDeleteVery serene.
ReplyDeleteBlue is always beautiful and give us summer feeling, thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from East Finland, where I will see every day airplanes flying to Japan. I have been in Shinjuku many years ago in a hotel, where I saw over Tokyo. I was with my husband in his conference, where the sea biologist brother of your Emperor were. I even spoke with his wife, who was asking from me, where I am coming from and something else a little :)
I loved those days there. We visited also Kyoto and Hara.
Your Emperor with his wife visited also Finland before he was Emperor.
We were cruising with them at the lake Saimaa. It was WWF`s happening. The world is small nowadays, isn`t it :)
Nice weekend to you!
A good way to start the weekend! Enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteExquisite colours in the sky Kaori and yes the building is definitely tilting haha!
ReplyDeleteWorking a bit, painting a bit RELAXing a lot. Hey, it's summer.
ReplyDeleteI have some sky view type of photos. Think I've only posted one so far. Are you part of the Skywatch friday group, K?
ReplyDeleteso this is a definite delayed post. haha.
ReplyDeletebut the sky's still is pretty as can be. really love the hues.
maybe it's the way it's been built like the leaning tower of Tokyo or the way you shot it became distorted. ^0^
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the comments!
ReplyDeleteI went back to check and the building was actually NOT leaning at all. Can't figure out why it turned out this way :D
Kaori, a wide angle will cause distortion, like leaning buildings. It can be corrected in Photoshop, but in this gorgeous shot it's not worth the trouble. http://tv.adobe.com/watch/photoshop-with-matt/removing-distortion-from-wideangle-photos/
