I love pizza. It's one of my favorite dishes. But this was my first time trying a cone-shaped pizza.
Konopizza, which I think is originally an Italian store (not sure), has come to Japan. They opened their first store in Shinjuku, which gave me a perfect reason to stop by the other day!
It takes about 3 minutes for them to prepare the cone, but once you have it you can enjoy it inside the store or just head out the door with the pizza in your hand!
The cone was delicious! I really like it because it's easier to eat than real pizza (only need one hand!) and they use a lot of cheese...and that's always a good thing when it comes to pizza!
What do you think? Do you want to try it?
That looks so good Kaori, mmm! all that cheese, Really it's 10pm here in Perth, but I would so eat one of those if it was put in front of me haha!

ReplyDelete@Arabesque: As you can see from the menu everything looks quite reasonable for Tokyo. For example, the Kono Pizza Margharita I ordered above is 450 yen. At today's exchange rate that would be about $5.70 (1 dollar = 80 yen).
That $25 all-you-can-drink deal for one person up to two hours might be a little dangerous; for Kono Pizza. A group of co-workers and I partook of such an offer at a restaurant on the other side of Shinjuku Station. At first it was amazing, the waiters would have another glass of beer in front of us before we even had a just-empty glass back down on the table. After forty-five minutes we had to go chase down the waiters who were all hiding in the back room. I partly blame it on a former rugby-playing, pro-motocross riding, Welsh giant who had the ability to crack open his throat and literally pour an entire large mug of beer instantly down his throat. That restaurant didn't stay in business long.
I've never heard of a cone-shaped pizza, but that looks delicious. I'd certainly try one!
