A Little Corner

I think this is a type of hydrangea but I'm not sure.

It was growing in this little park called Kita-san Momiji Park. Actually I'm not sure you can even call it a park as it's just concrete with a few places to sit. But it's a nice corner in this big city where people can sit and chat.

  2. I also think it's a kind of hydrangea. I have something similar in my garden. It's very pretty though, whatever it is!

  3. I'm not good at plant names, but I do like the green curvy leaves against the straight gray brickwork.

  5. Yes Kaori, I think you're correct. It's one of the big-leaf hydrangeas.

I really appreciate these precious pocket gardens. They're usually tucked away in a nook and they provide an escape from the city heat.

    Have a happy Wednesday! :)

  8. That shy, pretty little thing is an early-stage hydrangea flower. By now it is fully in bloom. Like here maybe.

I imagine that local mothers might enjoy bringing their young children to this open space for some fresh air, sunlight and some ABC practice.
